Jean Adele Howard Snyder, our mother, our ‘grammee’, suddenly passed from us and into the arms of our loving Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 24th, 2023. Although an only child, she leaves behind quite a few family members; 3 children, 8 grandchildren, 3, soon to be 4, great-grandchildren and countless surrogate children..
She was widowed at an early age. She and our father had a marriage to admire. Everything they did together would involve something to do with the 3 of us. He too will be happy to see her! :>
She was a Registered Nurse by trade with a long legacy of healthcare. Though her greatest cure for all things was an aloe plant and short lived infatuation for a little ‘snow-fungus’ on the side. She always questioned western medicine which proved to be pretty accurate in the end.
She was a crafter in her spare time. Glitter has followed her into heaven, I have no doubt. The Santa boots for each of is a tradition that will continue on for generations. Who knew our lives could be summed up on a Christmas boot?
She had a love for all animals and would rescue as many as God put into her path. If dogs are in heaven, ‘Freeway’ was standing next to Jesus upon her arrival. And yes, Freeway was her most beloved dog rescued off of the 605 during rush hour. Semi-trucks feared our mother when they stood between she and a terrified dog.
Through the sadness and clearly felt void we will all be able to share a funny story or two that would be classic for her. Laughter is and always has been our families legacy! We miss you so much already Grammee! And love you more than you’ll ever know! See you soon!
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.fairhavenmemorialservices.com for the Snyder family.
