Kaaron Mayre Carver was born on March 7, 1949, in St. Louis, Missouri, and died September 29, 2020, in Mission Viejo, California. Although the family moved from Kansas to Southern California in 1950's, they kept a tie to Kansas farmland and family until the last few years. Kaaron loved the outdoors and hiking over the great Midwestern plains as well as any national park or seashore.
She earned a bachelor's degree and teaching credential from UCLA and two master's degrees from CSULB. She taught high school and college for 38 years.
Kaaron revered American history and the Constitution and shared it with as many as were interested. In recent years, she served as a docent at the San Juan Capistrano Mission, and was a member of the Mission Viejo Heritage Committee, as well as the Centennial Committee at the Community Presbyterian Church in Capistrano.
She recorded history more than she spoke it in the hopes that the information would be available when the, "better angels of our nature rejoin in the chorus." (Abraham Lincoln)
Her cats Paddy and later Odysseus (Ody) were loved more than anything and they shared many good times. Her wonderful neighbors, in Casta del Sol, enjoyed receiving fun, "Odygrams," and photos in recent months.
Kaaron would like to thank her brother Casey and Angel Angie for watching over her of late. She also hopes that all remember the good times and the philosophy of Charles Schultz in his Peanuts column; "Don't cry that it's over - be glad that it happened at all."
A Memorial Service for Kaaron will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Community Presbyterian Church, 32202 Del Obispo Street, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675. A luncheon will follow the service in the church hall.
