Robert Edward Deatherage

Robert Edward Deatherage, age 81, resident of San Juan Capistrano for 21 years passed away on October 2, 2023. He was surrounded by his loving family, including his wife Marcia of 61 years, his 2 sons, Kevin Robert, & David Scott, his brother David Patterson (Coach) & Auntie Adele. He was born at the French Hospital in Los Angeles, CA.

He was someone special who was known for his sense of humor and for helping others. His enjoyment in life was intoxicating. He always shared his love of sales, dogs & the NFL enthusiastically with his close friends & family. Bob enjoyed golf with his buddies, and shared memories of his beloved Boyd Coddington Hot Rods (wheels).

Bob's love of travel was shared with his wife and reunited him with his son in the Army at Fort Knox.

Remembering my hero today, my Dad, a hard worker and always put his family first. He had a huge heart, and it is no surprise that he may have died from an enlarged heart. A wonderful Father, Uncle and Generous son who taught this little boy how to be brave, work hard and find joy in the simple things. You shaped me in ways you'll never fully know, Dad. I strive to honor you through how I live my own life. I miss you, today and always.

A memorial service for Robert will be held Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Fairhaven Memorial Services, 27856 Center Drive, Mission Viejo, CA 92692, followed by a reception from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
