Estela devoted more than 40 years to her work as a Registered Nurse, caring for her patients with unwavering dedication throughout her career. After retiring, she made her home in Ortonville, Minnesota, where she enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing, and spending time with her family, friends, and two beloved dogs.
She is survived by her husband of twenty years, Gerald Goetsch; her daughter, Amanda (Armando) Criado; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Efrain Munguia, and by her parents, Norberto and Irene Calvillo.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Forest Park Missouri City Funeral Home, 4217 Shipman Cove Blvd., Missouri City, Texas 77459. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m., followed by a rosary at 2 p.m. Cremation will take place in accordance with her wishes, and her ashes will be scattered by her family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Estela’s memory to Houston Hospice.
