

Lilly Mae Buckins, born on July 12, 1966, in Opelousas, Louisiana, passed away on February 12, 2026, at the age of 59. As the youngest child in her family, she shared a special bond with her twin, Lela Coleman, and was affectionately known for being spoiled.
Lilly graduated from Opelousas High School and furthered her education at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette. She was known for her vibrant personality and zest for life, enjoying activities such as attending the Mud Girl Run, traveling, going to concerts, attending Saints games, and cruising with family and friends. She loved swinging out, playing spades, and celebrating with others, always present for every occasion.
Lilly was preceded in rest by her father, Eddie Coleman, her mother, Isabelle Coleman, and five siblings. She is survived by her loving spouse, David Buckins, her children Ashley King, Amber Boisseau, and Alonzo King Jr., eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
A Visitation will be held on February 23, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Forest Park Missouri City Funeral Home, located at 4217 Shipmans Cove Boulevard, Missouri City, Texas, 77545. A Celebration of Life will follow at 3:00 pm, A Repast will take place from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the same venue.
Lilly Mae Buckins will be remembered for her joyous spirit and the love she shared with her family and friends.
