Aaron Palmer Everette, Jr. – a native and resident of Mobile, AL passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024 in a local hospital. Dinky loved a good joke, a good song, and more than anything, a good time. He spent much of his free time on a boat or a pier fishing, and it didn’t seem to matter whether he caught anything. Dinky was always there to help a friend or family member in need—anything from home repairs to sharing his advice—generally leaving the situation better than he found it. He proudly supported the Crimson Tide on fall Saturdays, but he never figured out why they wouldn’t “just run the d**n ball.” Dinky had a knack for turning an acquaintance into a lifelong friend. He always had time and an open stool in the pool house for his loved ones to visit and laugh together. He was adored by his wife, sons, grandchildren, and so many others. Dinky’s work was never finished, and now he moves on to his next project. He was preceded in death by his father, Jake Everette; mother, Estelle Everette; brother, Roy Countryman; and sister, Joyce Doan. He is survived by his wife, Amy Pearce Everette; three sons, Justin Kyle Everette (Meghan), Travis Whitney Everette (Courtney), and Cody Seth Everette (Holly); two sisters, Faye Elmore and Alice Morgan; seven grandchildren, Bridger Allen Everette, Abigail Lane Everette, Taplin Moore Everette, Riley Holbrook Everette, Asher Davis Everette, Wyatt Wilton Everette, and Leighton Mae Everette; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning at 9 a.m. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
