Alfred Preston “Bubba” Rayford III, 74, of Semmes, AL, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2017. Bubba graduated from Murphy High School, Class of 1961. He served with the United States Air Force Reserve. He worked at BLP, Courtaulds, and retired from M&T/Arkema Chemical Plant after 15 years. He enjoyed deep-sea fishing and Alabama football. He loved the Lord and his family with all his heart. He will be greatly missed. Mr. Rayford was preceded in death by his mother, Grace Green Rayford. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Linda Butts Rayford; two daughters, Kimberly Layne Rayford and Tiffany Grace Rayford (James) Ivey; step-daughter, Sheree Laird (Joel) Kizziah; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Carol Sue Briggs; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other cherished family members and friends. Visitation for Mr. Rayford will be held from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, AL. There will be a graveside service immediately following in Pine Crest Cemetery at 2 p.m.
