Mrs. Alice R. Gibbs, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, died on Monday December 17, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Arch Gibbs, Sr. She is survived by five children, Debora (Terry) Burroughs, Bay Minette, AL, Elizabeth (Sam) Kelly, Mobile, Annette (Carl) Sennett, Triangle, VA, Jimmie A. Gibbs, Jr., Gulfport, MS and Donna Gibbs, Mobile; four grandchildren, Michael Akau, Brian (Marla) Akau, Ashley (Elijah) Maples, Erica (Daniel) Rowland and; six great grandchildren, Jacob, Abigail, Charleigh, Adalyne, Ezra and Elijah, II; very special friends, John and Liz Kauffman; one aunt, Hester Thornton; one sister in law, Sylvia Skinner; and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held from the Airport Blvd. Baptist Church on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 11 AM. Mrs. Gibbs will be taken to church at 10 AM. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5 until 8 PM at Radney Funeral Home. Interment will be in Pine Crest West Cemetery on Snow Rd.
