

Andrew was born on October 12, 1927 in Bedford County, Bedford PA to the late Ray R. and Myrtle J. Miller.
Andrew married his wife, Doris D. Zimmerman, on November 26 1955. After almost 48 years of marriage, Doris preceded him in death on October 15, 2003.
He is survived by his two children, Andrew S. Miller married to Gail J. Whetstone of Bedford PA and Janice M. (Miller) Haney married to Daniel M. Haney of Mobile, AL. Also survived by three grandchildren, Christopher C. Haney married to Cherry C Antonio of Virginia Beach, VA, Doris M. (Haney) Coble married to Robert P Coble of Virginia Beach, VA and Clarissa A (Miller) LaRue, married to James T (JT) LaRue of Texarkana, TX. He leaves behind three great grandchildren Mason R. Coble, Ashley-Lynn A Haney, and Christopher-Daniel A Haney, all of Virginia Beach, VA as well as his two fur-babies Nash and Puddin and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his brothers Paul Ray (Junior) William (Bill) and sisters Helen Grove, Viola Shroyer, Phyllis Miller, Arlene Dodd, and Janet Laws.
Andrew served in the US Army during WWII and was awarded the WWII victory medal. He worked at Bethlehem Steel Mill in Johnstown, PA for many years, before retiring in 1982. After his retirement from Bethlehem Steel Mill, he worked at Ickes Apple Orchard helping Fred with many daily tasks. In his later years, he could be found hanging out at Don Williams Garage, in Bedford PA. He was also a member of Yeager Lutheran Church in Rainsburg, PA.
Andrew enjoyed visiting and talking to people. He never met a person that he couldn't talk to. He also enjoyed going to Mardi Gras, in Mobile, AL where he enjoyed watching the parades and even riding on the floats.
On behalf of the Miller and Haney families we would like to extend our sincere thanks to Annie Free of Mobile AL and the Gentiva Hospice of Mobile, AL for the outstanding care and support that they provided for Andrew (Pap) in his last few months of life. We would also like to thank Radney Funeral Home, in Mobile, AL. for taking care of his funeral arrangements.
A celebration of life will be held, at a later date, in his hometown of Bedford, PA.
