

Anita Greene Bush – loving wife and mother, a 55 year-old native of Birmingham and longtime resident of Mobile, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013, with her husband and sons by her side. She graduated from Perry High School in Rockville, MD and the University of Alabama. Anita was an ardent fan of Alabama football and attended the past three national championship games. She was employed by the University of South Alabama for 23 years as an accountant. Anita was a lifelong member of the Lutheran church and an active member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church until her health declined. She loved to cook, sew, and take care of her family. Anita had a wonderful eye for design and loved to create new things and remake old ones. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas A. Greene, and sister, Deborah M. Greene. Anita is survived by her beloved best friend, soul mate, and husband of 33 years, William B. Bush; sons, William Michael Bush and Bryant Matthew Bush; mother, Ruth E. Hobbes; brother, Thomas A. Greene; step-brothers, Francis Hobbes and Paul Hobbes; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from Holy Cross Lutheran Church on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Bill and Anita Bush Trauma Fund, c/o U.S.A. Medical Center.
