Ann Siegert Underwood

Ann Siegert Underwood, 52, longtime resident of Mobile, AL and native of Slidell, LA passed away on February 16, 2013, with her family and friends surrounding her. As a graduate of LSU, Ann loved the Tigers. She spent her free time teaching swimming lessons to local children. She was an avid birder and lover of baseball. Ann was an inspiration to everyone who met her. She was a loving wife to Andy Underwood, married for 28 years; adoring Mom of Drew and Bret Underwood. She is survived by her parents Rudy and Peggy Siegert of Slidell, LA, her brother Rudy Siegert of Slidell, LA, twin sister Amy Siegert of Baton Rouge, LA and sister Kary Siegert of Mobile, AL. Ann was aunt “extraordinaire” to Jeron, Renee, Nick and Grace.

Ann was a very active member of Christ United Methodist Church, founding the Cancer Support Group there. She also served on the board for the Women’s Conference, was a Sunday school teacher and a choir member at CUMC. Ann served on the boards of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. She was also a member of the Mobile Junior League and was a great Chi Omega sorority sister to many. The family would like to offer their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of UAMS, Myeloma Institute for Research and Therapy. Visitation will be Wednesday February 20, 2013 from 5pm till 8pm at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street. Funeral services at Christ United Methodist of Mobile on Thursday February 21, 2013 at 2pm.The Family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Myeloma Institute for Research and Therapy, in memory of our Anniegirl.
