Anne Beville LeFevre Layfield, age 84, passed away peacefully at her home on August 10, 2019. She was born on October 29, 1934 in Mobile, Alabama to Annie Kate and Albert (Sparky) LeFevre. She attended Old Shell Road Elementary and graduated from Murphy High School. She later attended Hollins College and the University of Alabama. Anne went on to work in the medical technology field, the real estate field and later found her true passion, working as a guide and bookkeeper for the Conde Charlotte Museum House in downtown Mobile. Anne was a member of the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America and a true football fan….Roll Tide. She was very active in her church and loved serving on the reception committee. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Anne is survived by her husband, N. William (Bill) Layfield; her sisters Gary LeFevre Curran and Chrissy LeFevre Reese; her son William (Sparky) Layfield and daughter in law, Patricia (Pat) Layfield; her daughter, Lynn Layfield Byrd and son in law, Jonathan Daniel Byrd; her grandchildren Albert William (Will) Layfield Jr., Brandon Alexander Byrd (Meghan McRae Byrd), Theodore (Ted) Bradly Layfield (Hillary Willingham Layfield), Daniel Lewis Byrd and Katie Christine Byrd; her great grandchild, Ava James Byrd.
Funeral services will be held on August 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Spring Hill Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends at the church in the fellowship hall prior to the service beginning at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Spring Hill Cemetery.
