Mrs Bala Tripura Sundari Putcha of Mobile, Alabama passed away on Friday, April 26, 2019 at the age of 91. Mrs Putcha was born on May 20, 1927 in India, the youngest of nine children. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She placed a very high priority on education for all of her family, always encouraging them, but never taking credit for their successes. She immigrated to the United States in the 1980s to be closer to her children and help raise her grandchildren. She provided an important sense of culture for her grandchildren, many of whom were born and raised in the US, teaching them their native language, Telugu. She was preceded in death by her husband, and is survived by her three sons (Satyanarayana Putcha (Annapoorna), Subramanyam Putcha (Usha), and Narasimha Sastry Putcha (Asha)), one daughter (Swarajya Lakshmi Dhulipala (Atchuta Rao)), seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will take place on Friday , May 3 at 11:30 am at Pine Crest Funeral Home (1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, AL 36605).
