Barbara Joyce Nottingham

Mrs. Barbara Sims Nottingham – a native of Mobile, AL and a resident of Fort Walton Beach, FL since 2000, died Saturday, January 26, 2013 in a Fort Walton Beach hospital. Mrs. Nottingham was a member of Village Baptist Church where she was employed as a financial assistant. She was a loving mother, wife, and grandmother who served people with great care and dignity. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Lloyd Simms and Mary Lee Chandler Sims; and one brother, Ronald Allen Sims. She is survived by her husband, Gardiner Lee Nottingham; one son, Michael (Megan) Miller; two step-children, Scott (Kimberly) Nottingham and Jan Nottingham (Ben) Zant; one sister, Mary Ann (Gary) Christenot; eight grandchildren, Matthew Nottingham, Mary Catherine Nottingham, Lane Nottingham, Connor Nottingham, Emily Zant, Ryan Zant, Madison Miller, and Mallory Miller; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, January 31, 2013 from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile, AL 36606. The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until 11 A.M. on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Village Baptist Church, 101 Matthew Blvd., Destin, FL 32541.
