Beryl graduated from Murphy High School in 1957. She went on to pursue a career in the banking industry. She began as a bank teller, working long hours and pursuing financial education opportunities, and rose through the ranks to become a Vice President at First Southern Federal Savings and Loan Association in 1982. Beryl also served as president of the Mobile Chapter of the Institute of Financial Education and as a director for that institution.
Beryl was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Myles Kennedy and Helen Dick Kennedy Guilhauma; and brother, Maurice M. (Skip) Kennedy.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah Foster Spake and R. Dean Spake of Hudson, Ohio; son and daughter-in-law, Ernest Myles Foster and Kimberly A. Foster of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; grandsons, Sean Spake of Charlotte, North Carolina, Ryan Spake of Hudson, Ohio, Ethan Foster of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, and Zack Foster of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; granddaughter, McKenna Foster of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; and other loving relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Beryl may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org, is appreciated.
The family will receive friends and family from 1:00 – 2:00 pm on Monday, October 3, 2022, at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile, AL 36606. Following visitation, a procession will proceed to Pine Crest Cemetery, 1939 Dauphin Island Pkwy, for a graveside service and interment.
