

Billy Roscoe Turner, age 86, passed away peacefully at his home in Mobile, AL. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to everyone.
You never saw him without a smile on his face! He loved God, church, family, friends, gardening, and being a War Eagle fan!
Mr. Turner was born in Leakesville, MS on May 7, 1929 to Tyra Roscoe Turner and Sallie Neel Turner and lived his life in many places. After graduating from Murphy High School in Mobile, he attended Springhill College and the University of Alabama. He, then, joined the US Air Force and following his tour of duty, attended Auburn University graduating with a degree in Sociology. Billy joined International Paper as the Personnel Director in Georgetown, SC; Mobile, AL and Vicksburg, MS. and also with the Baldwin Piano Manufacturing Co in Greenwood, MS. Later he worked as a realtor in Gulf Shores, AL and Dauphin Island, AL and was also in the restaurant business in Gulf Shores.
Billy first married Mary Kathryn Sibley and had five children. After her death, he met and married Marie Louise Burke of Mobile and subsequently lived in Vicksburg and Greenwood, MS, Gulf Shores, Dauphin Island and finally in Mobile, AL.
Preceding his death were his parents, Tyra Roscoe Turner and Sallie Neel Turner; first wife Mary Kathryn Sibley Turner; brother, Julius Toy Turner; his daughter, Marsha Candee’ Grey; grandson, Walker Neel Ehrhardt; and Meredith Jane Burke.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Louise Burke Turner; children Dr. Sibley Neel Turner (Terri), Kathryn Turner McGill (David), William Soria Turner and Mary Kevin Turner (B); grandchildren Lauren, Lindsey and Mary Kathryn Turner; Wesley Ehrhardt; Katie Ferrell, Zachary, Derek and Ryan Grey; Joey Turner; and great grandchildren Taylor Olvey, Grady Truett; Ryan Hadley Grey; Frances and Cash Ferrell; Sibley Grey; and Isla Turner. Also survived by his bonus children, Daniel W Burke (Marilyn), Shawn Burke Smith, Gregory A Burke (Nancy), Barbara Burke Sullivan (Joe), Suzanne Burke Baughn (Sam) and R Bradley Burke (Mary); and bonus grandchildren; Megan Burke, Robyn Figenshow and Alison Horn; Adair, Cori and Doss Connor; Christy Jordan and Shana Moton; Burke Brunson; Nicholas Holtz, Meredith Lora and Melissa Holtz; Alex, Oliver and Stephen Burke; and bonus great grandchildren Tyler Burke; Victoria Moton; Jurian and Leander Holtz; Emilia Lora.

Visitation will be April 1, 2016 from 1030am -1100am with a Mass to follow at Our Savior Catholic Church, 1801 Cody Road, Mobile, AL 36695. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Cemetery following the Mass.
A celebration reception will be held at Pine Crest Funeral Home following the burial.
