Born in Mobile, Alabama, Chuck was a wonderful soul who always rejoiced in the Lord’s amazing grace. He found inspiration through the Word of God and shared his joy with anyone he could. He was a special person who was loving and caring, giving compassion through his challenges and triumphing through his adversities with a kind heart and a thoughtful mind. He diligently studied the Bible and surprisingly understood more than most of us take time to understand. Chuck loved to praise the Lord through song and brought cheer and laughter to those around him.
Though Chuck was born with both mental and physical handicaps, he developed a positive outlook-even cheerful-and participated in life as best he could. He was cherished by his late loving parents, father Charles Herman Lambert, Sr. and his mother Harrie Cane Lambert, who cared for him and taught him to read the Bible. And read the Bible he did, memorizing many verses special to him! Chuck loved the Weather Channel, Sunday sermons, and listening to J. Vernon McGee on the radio, as well as to 50s and 60s songs. (Of course he would sing along with both hymns and his favorite songs!) He often called family members to discuss current events, Bible verses, and looming weather. For sure, our Chuck will be missed.
The family thanks all those people who lovingly cared for Chuck over the years since his mom passed away.
