MSGT Charles D. Sutton, Retired, age 86, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray Z. and Julia Moran Sutton and sister Carolyn Sutton Perrotta. MSGT. Sutton served his country honorably in the Army National Guard and the U. S. Army for over 30 years. He enlisted in the National Guard in 1949 at the age of 18. He served in the Korean Conflict and in 1960 re-enlisted in the National Guard where he completed his service at the rank of Master Sergeant. He is survived by his devoted sister Barbara Sutton Cohen, nieces; Phyllis (Chris) Ganey and Paula Bryant; his children, Terre Alford, Leigh Allen (Leonard), Chris Sutton (Melissa) and Dana Feltman (Greg). He is also survived by his five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, other family and friends. Visitation will be held at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Graveside services with military honors will be held in Pine Crest Cemetery beginning at 2:00 p.m .
