Charlotte Quarles Hicks Cook

December 2, 1934 – May 18, 2013

As the angels surrounded our beautiful Mother on the evening of May 18th Jesus called her to her eternal home. Even though our hearts will ache forever we know she was ready and with that knowledge comes peace. What a joyous celebration they had in Heaven as she went through those Pearly Gates. Together again with Dad. We will forever miss and love you.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Charles N Hicks Jr., her parents Jesse T and Docie Van Daly Quarles, Mother & Father In-Law Charles N and Cassie Hicks, sister-in-law Mayon Hicks Thomas, six brothers Hoid, Hoil, Johnnie, James, Charles and David Quarles, one great grandson Asher Driskell and her second husband Raymond Cook.

She leaves to cherish her memory her three children and their families; Charles N Hicks III (Sharon), Vanessa Driskell, Russell Hicks Sr. (Anita). Her six gandchildren, Christopher Driskell (Ashley), Russell Hicks Jr., (Janice), Kami Driskell Horn, Elizabeth Hicks, Charles Hicks IV (Jennifer), Amanda Hicks. Her nine great grandchildren; Lynnley Grace Driskell, Taylor Zane Hicks, Brandon Horn, Eli Driskell, LeighAnn Hicks, Andrew Horn, Natalia Hicks, Jacob Driskell and Eliana Hicks and one brother Jesse Quarles Jr. Numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 12 noon. Visitation will start at 10 AM. Burial will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
