Clarence Evans Woodward, 85, passed away on June 29, 2016. Evans was born and raised in Ovett, Mississippi. After marrying Florence Long of Oklahoma, they moved to Mobile, Alabama. He retired from the Alabama State Highway Department as a Civil Engineer. After retiring, he raised White Charolais Cattle, and tended the family farm in Ovett, Mississippi, while also residing with his wife Florence in Semmes, Alabama.
Evans and Florence just celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary. They enjoyed rides through Baldwin County, and loved eating and having picnics in Fairhope Park. The love his family has for him surpasses all, and he will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Margie Brezeale.
He is survived by his wife, Florence Long Woodward; his daughter, Janet (Bruce) Woodward Wells; his son, Mike (Lee Ann) Woodward; three granddaughters, Jessica (Jonah)Wells Shenesey, Morgan (Anthony) Woodward Ory, and Lauren Woodward; two grandsons, Ryan (Daphne) Woodward and Garrett Wells; and two great-granddaughters, Keeley and Kyndal Woodward.
