

PASSED AWAY SPANISH FORT, JULY 11,2023
Sculptor, Claudine Myers passed away in Mobile July 11,2023. Born in St.Louis Claudine enjoyed life from the age of five in south Alabama. A tireless worker and creator she had her own television show, gave garden lectures, and her art work is in both private and public venues around the country.
She and her husband Marion McClintoc built houses for their own homes and as speculative ventures. After Marion passed she moved from Fairhope to Spanish Fort.
Claudine married her childhood sweetheart, Dr Grant Myers of Omaha, Nebraska, when they were both eighty five years old. Dr Myers passed five years later.
Claudine created the Five Rivers Woods and Water Festival and a few years later brought classic concerts to her beloved Spanish Fort.
The State of Alabama awarded her the Lifetime Achievement Award, Alabama Senior Citizens Hall of Fame, in Montgomery July 2016.
She taught Sunday School for forty five years and was a member of Spanish Fort Presbyterian church. Three years ago Claudine brought the churches of Spanish Fort together to begin the annual Thanksgiving Choral musical service.
Claudine is survived by her only child, David McClintoc (wife Bonnie), her sister Florence Nelson (husband Frank) and nieces and nephews. Her church family whose loving support and kindness has been a GOD sent blessing.
