

Colleen was born Halloween in 1961 in Mobile, AL to Timothy James O’Rourke Sr, and Claudia Locke O’Rourke. She was a 1980 graduate of Theodore High School. She attended Bishop State Community College to obtain her certification as an ASL interpreter. She married the love of her life, Joseph R. Hill, Sr., on December 11, 1982, and spent 42 wonderful years together until her passing. Colleen was a big Mardi Gras person. She helped start two Mardi Gras associations, Neptune’s Daughters, and Mystical Ladies. Her and her son, Christopher, were king and queen of the Krewe de la Dauphine Mardi Gras association one year, and that was one of her proudest moments. She also loved shopping for shoes, love to eat, cooking, and fishing. Colleen was the CEO of Colleen’s and Randy’s Seafood for many years.
Colleen is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, Joseph Hill, children; Joseph Randall Jr., and Christopher James Hill, grandchildren; Hannah Mary Hill, Joseph Hunter Hill, and Isabella Nicole Hill, brother; Timothy James O’Rourke Jr., Gregory L. O’Rourke, and Matthew B. O’Rourke, sister; Theresa O’Rourke Smith, and many other family and friends that will miss Colleen deeply. Colleen was preceded in
death by her parents, Timothy O’Rourke, Sr., and Claudia Locke O’Rourke. Colleen took great joy in raising her grandchildren. Colleen was an absolute daddy’s girl and loved her father deeply.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8pm on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Pine Crest Funeral Home in Mobile, with the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 10am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Colleen’s honor to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
