David Lloyd Kittrell

David Lloyd Kittrell passed away at his home, Sunday evening, May 28th, 2023. He was a native and life-long resident of Mobile and was predeceased by his father Henry Jonathan Kittrell, his mother Essie Pollard Kittrell, brother Henry Kittrell and sisters Ruth Jetmundsen and Grace Kittrell.

He was born August 11, 1929, and as an outstanding athlete, graduated from Gulf Coast Military Academy. In college he attended the University of Alabama and later was the owner of Kittrell Furniture Company.

David was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and good friend to many. He will be fondly remembered for his generosity, fun sense of humor and support for family, as well as friends. He was an avid Alabama football fan and was rarely seen without his Crimson Tide shirt.

He is survived by his six children: Lee Brother (Kelly) of Memphis, Margaret Morgan, David Kittrell Jr. (Elaine), Kurt Kittrell, Jon Kittrell (Cheryl) of Fairhope and Peter Kittrell (Chloe) of Atlanta. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Brooks Chew (Brian), Haynes Brother (Aubrey), Chase Brother, Lauren Parker, Camille Kittrell, Charlie Kittrell, and Hunter Kittrell; great grandchildren: Anne Chapline Chew,

Catherine Chew, Morgan Parker and Mary Frances Parker. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
