David Jason Willett, 50, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 in Mobile, Alabama. He was a lifelong resident of Mobile – born to Johnny and Alicia Willett on April 24, 1973. Jason was a graduate of McGill-Toolen High School, Class of ’91. He worked as an ultrasonic tech for Berg Pipe for many years, and absolutely loved his work. Jason was an avid University of Alabama fan, as well as NASCAR (namely Dale Earnhardt, Jr.). He was a fun-loving guy, and lived life to the fullest. Jason had a heart of gold, and was one of the most kind, loving, and generous souls that ever walked the earth.
Above all else, Jason was an amazing father. His daughter, Kelsey Grace, was his heart, soul, and light of his life. Jason was always up to have fun with Kelsey. The two spent time hanging out at Target, and going to Sonic for a bite. He would go to the ends of the earth for her, and Kelsey will carry his love and legacy throughout her life.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: David and Anne Harrison, J.D. and Roberta Willett.
Jason is survived by his beloved daughter, Kelsey Grace Willett; parents, Alicia and Johnny Willett; brother and sister-in-law, John and Lisa Willett; niece, Ellen Willett; nephew, Jake Willett; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other cherished family and friends.
Visitation for Jason will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Mobile, with a Mass of Christian Burial immediately following. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
