Doris Lins Richardson

Doris Richardson, age 82, passed away December 8, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on June 29, 1943 to John H. Lins, Sr. and Theola Lane Lins. Doris was very well known in the sanitation industry as the owner of Doris Richardson Garbage Service for more than 40 years. She was also a member of the Order of Athena and ran several Bingo halls throughout the years. Doris was a fighter and she did not surrender peacefully to her illness.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John H. Lins, Sr., Theola Lane Lins and Virginia Lins; her brothers, Joe, Bud, Don and John Henry Lins; and sisters, Rosemary Boyce and Helen Charlton.

She is survived by her children, Sivreen (Donald) Minto, Harold (Leane) Richardson, Jr. and John Roe (Angela) Richardson; her grandchildren, Brandon (Brandi) Richardson, Amanda (Daniel) Horne, Chance Richardson, Tyler (Claire) Minto, Tiffany (Brad) Woodham and Destin (Blakely) Richardson; great grandchildren, Kynsleigh, Kaden, Parker, Ethan, Brady, Ava, Camden ,Maggie Roe and Rhett, several nieces and nephews, and her fur baby, Prissy.

The family would like to thank Alabama Hospice Care and nurse, Karen, for their great care and a very special thank you to her grandson, Chance, for his devoted care these past several months.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 from 1:30 pm until 3:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin St. Mobile, AL. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 3:00 pm. Interment will follow at Springhill Memorial Gardens.
