Doris Hart Sullivan -- Born in Mobile October 4, 1920, and the last surviving member of her generation of Harts and Sullivans in this city, passed away after a brief illness in a local hospital on November 29, 2010.

In her early years she enjoyed music: listening to her father play the piano, and playing the saxophone herself. She was also a good tennis player in her day.
Doris wed local dentist Dr. John Dominique Sullivan on September 3, 1943. They were happily married for 49 1/2 years until his death on February 11, 1993. During those years, Doris enjoyed summers with her family on Mobile Bay and attending various sporting events in which her children participated. Hers was truly a wonderful life about family.
Doris was a regular worshiper at St. Ignatius Catholic Church where she was a member of the Burse Club. She had also been active in the Wimbledon Garden Club. In later years, while in residence at Portier Place, she took to writing poetry and recently compiled a Book of her Poems.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Hart, Sr. and Eloise Erickson Hart; her siblings, Mary Louise Hart, Wilhelmina Hart Hooks, June Hart Frese, Claire Ardelle Hart, and Albert Hart, Jr.
In addition to all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Doris is survived by her sister Johanna Hart Long of Livingston MT; and her brother, Charles Michael Hart of Colorado Springs, CO; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
