I don't know where to begin.  I've known Dorothy for all f my sixty-three years.  She was my mom's older sister.  Dorothy made a delicious chicken and dumpling dish which I always hoped she would make whenever my family went to her house for dinner.  She often played host to her three brothers and our family  and all of our families for Thanksgiving, or Christmas or some other holiday.  She was a great baker, cook and aunt, in general.  When my mom and dad went on a second honeymoon to the Bahamas when I was in first grade, I stayed with Dorothy and Buck.  When I got sick in my first grade class, she came to pick me up and nursed me to health with chicken soup.  She worked at Grant's (they used to compete with Woolworth's and later, K-Mart).  Dorothy worked at the jewelry and nut and candy counter.  Every time we'd go to the shopping center where that Grant's store was, I begged my mom to take my brothers and me to see Aunt Dodo (We called her that, I'm guessing, because I could not enunciate "Dorothy" as a child).  Dorothy, with Mom's permission, would always give us a little bag of peanuts or candy.  Whenever we went to Dorothy and Buck's home, their youngest son David was often practicing to play the piano.  I always asked, "Can I play your piano?"  David, and sometimes Danny (oldest son), would sit down and teach me how to play something.  I can still play the two-fingered version of "Catch a Falling Star," the way David first showed me around 1962.  One of my favorite memories at the home of Dorothy and Buck was sitting down every March just after dinner to watch the annual airing on network TV of "The Wizard of OZ."  I'm sure many of those dinners were Dorothy's delicious chicken and dumpling dish.  I'll certainly miss not knowing I can go and visit with her.
