Dorothy B. McMichael

Dorothy B. McMichael - Born November 15, 1918, in St. Andrews, FL, and a long time resident of Mobile, died Friday, April 1, 2011, at her home. Mrs. McMichael was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and worked for Gayfer's downtown managing the Sewing Department.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph McMichael; her sister, Louise Anderson; her brother, Lamar Nelson; and her grandson, Wes Y. Baker.

Survivors include her loving son, Lawrence Nelson (Betty Sue) Baker, Sr.; four grandchildren, Larry N. (Christy) Baker, Jr., Hajime B. Baker, Ty L. (Shannon) Baker, and Megan R. Baker; three great-grandchildren, Ansley, Kai and Tyler; her relatives on the McMichael side of the family, and friends.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at 12 Noon.

Visitation will be Monday, April 4, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered at www.mmgfuneral home.com.
