Dorothy Faye Spears

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm Friday, January 9, 2026, at Pine Crest Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery. Arrangements are by Pine Crest Funeral Home.

Ms. Dottie, as she was affectionately known, was born in Sledge, Mississippi to Clyde Wilson and Laura Mae (Foster) Bronson on October 15, 1948. She grew up in Plateau, Alabama and was a graduate of Vigor High School. She married Michael Joseph Murrill on June 1, 1968, at Lott Road Baptist Church. She graduated with honors from Phillips Junior College, where she served as President of the Student Government Association, and spent most of her life working in retail sales and management.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her father, C.W. Bronson, her mother, Laura F. Bronson, and her husband, Michael J. Murrill.

She is survived by her son, Michael S. Murrill (Heather F.), grandchildren, Amber M. Strickland (Josh), Jessica F. Stringfellow (Michael E.), Shelby Jones (Michael), Hayli M. Fields, and great-grandchildren Caleb Sanders, Catherine Stringfellow, Rayna Darawich, Colton Allen, Ayden Stringfellow, Aubrey Strickland, Ivy Strickland and Maycie Stringfellow.

She was deeply loved and will be missed by many.
