Douglas “Doug” Edward Harlan, age 61, passed away suddenly on Friday, February 23, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Dorothy Harlan. Doug retired after 30 years as a firefighter with the City of Mobile. He was an avid golfer and was a longtime member of the Azalea City Golf Course. Doug was known for his love of Alabama football, his big heart, willingness to always help others and the kindness he always shared. He loved his family deeply. Doug is survived by his children Jami Howes (Matthew) and Josh Harlan (Charlotte). He is also survived by his siblings; Don Harlan (Lisa), Margaret Moore (Jim), Chuck Harlan (Marie), grandchildren; Madison, Kayley and Connor Howes, Katelyn and Tucker Harlan, nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
