

Edward A. Collier, Jr. of Marietta, Georgia passed away on January 18, 2014. Eddie is the son of the late Edward A. "Buddy" Collier and Mary Louise Barter Collier and is pre-deceased by his brother, William "David" Collier. Eddie was born in Mobile, Alabama on June 15, 1952. He attended St. Joan of Arc Catholic School and graduated from McGill Institute, where he was a member of the football team. He attended the University of South Alabama. He worked for over 30 years in the solid waste and recycling business and was a co-founder and the president for many years of AmeriSouth Recycling and Consulting Services, Inc., Atlanta, Georgia. Eddie was a loving father, husband, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend and will be greatly missed by many.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Pollinger Collier; his children, Kelly Michelle Collier and Edward A. "Lee" Collier, III; stepson, Drew Pollinger; brother, Stephen Rodgers Collier (Ginger); sisters, Kathleen Anne Collier (Jack Selden), Jeanne Collier Turner (George, deceased), Laurie Collier Regan (Jim), Ellen Collier Maxime (David), and Judy Collier Anderson (Mike); stepmother, Jane Quint Collier; stepsister, Nancy Quint Robinson (George) and stepbrother, Michael Quint (Cindy). He is also survived by an uncle and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive visitors at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile, Alabama on Friday, January 24 from noon to 1 p.m., followed by a memorial service at the funeral home and interment at Pine Crest Cemetery.
