Dick (or Dickie as he is known to friends and family), passed peacefully to his heavenly home on January 5, 2014 after a 10 week illness. He is survived by his wife, Joy Ison Deupree; two sons, Edward Madison (Chip) Deupree, III (Mary Len), Joshua Stevens Deupree; grandchildren, Bryce and Ava Deupree; sisters, Frances Arnold (Art), Anne Taylor (Pat); mother of his children, Susan Gardner (Cecil); aunt, Nell Viverette; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Dickie was in the electrical consulting and design business. He was active at Spring Hill Baptist Church where he was instrumental in their recent renovations. He was a member of several Mardi Gras organizations. A celebration of Dickie’s life will be held in the sanctuary at Spring Hill Baptist Church, 2 South McGregor Avenue, Mobile. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM with services at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Spring Hill Baptist Church Foundation in memory of Dick Deupree or to your favorite charity.
