Elizabeth "Betty" Wood Stacey

A loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she will be greatly missed by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth and Thomas Jefferson Wood.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, E. Lynn Stacey; her daughter, Shannon Leigh Stacey Root and her husband, Daniel William Root, Jr.; her son, Geoffrey Lynn Stacey and his wife, Meghan Treacy Stacey; two brothers, The Honorable James C. Wood and his wife, Mary Olive Wood and Dr. Ernest C. Wood; five grandsons, William Root, Thomas Root, Braxton Stacey, Lochlan Stacey, and Kelan Stacey; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at 12 Noon. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
