Erin Bray Elkins

Born November 7, 1927 in McCullough, AL to Samuel Atlas and Roberta Wise Bray, she is survived by her husband of 54 years, Kenneth L. Elkins, one daughter Kim A. Presten and husband, Paul, of Snellville, GA and one son, George E. Elkins and wife, Helen, of LaGrange, GA. Her brothers, Vercial R. Bray (Madge) of Fairhope, AL, R. Benson Bray (Clara) of Foley, AL and Samuel A. Bray (Joyce) of Columbus, MS, sisters, Carolyn Hayes of Loxley, AL and Elaine Dobson (Charles) of Douglasville, GA, Sister-in-law, Nell Elkins, Columbia, MS, 3 grandchildren, Lindsey Bray Elkins, Phillip Hunter Nolan and Alicia Michelle Nolan, 16 nieces and nephews and many more great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Edwina B Smith (Bill), and brothers, Vernon R. Bray and Lealand A. Bray (Carolyn). Erin retired from Brookley Air Force Base and remained close to longtime coworker and friend, Virginia Dewrell. Erin was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and Seekers Sunday School Class.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin St, from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. Service will be Monday, May 21, 2012 at the Galilee Primitive Baptist Church in Stapleton, AL. The service will be conducted by Rev. Jeff Spiller and Rev. Jim Allison with visitation at 9:30 AM and service at 11:00 AM with internment immediately following in the church cemetery.
