Ferrell Henry McBroom Jr.

On Sunday, May 16, 2021, Ferrell Henry McBroom Jr. a loving husband and father passed away at the age of 65. Ferrell, “Mac,” was born on January 12, 1956 in Mobile, AL to Ferrell and Marie (Williams) McBroom. He graduated from Murphy High School in 1975. Go Panthers! After graduation he began working for the Coca-Cola Bottling Company as a transport driver for 41 years. On October 11, 1986 he married Pamela Taylor. They raised a son, Zachary, and a daughter, Mallory. After numerous years of hard work he retired in 2018.

Mac was passionate about Alabama athletics, but mainly football. Roll Tide! He loved deer hunting and being outside. He was once a member of the Mystic Stripers organization. He enjoyed sharing his love of Mardi Gras with his children, nieces, and nephews. Mac was a loving and caring man. He was always willing to help anyone in need.

Mac was preceded in death by his mother, Marie, and his father, Ferrell and his sister - in- law, Gail Bagley.

He is survived by his wife, Pam, his two children, Zachary and Mallory, his sisters, Loraine McBroom and Sallie (McBroom) Burgess and brother - in - laws Larry Burgess, Skeet (Carla) Taylor and Mike (Lisa) Taylor; mother - in - law, Jewel Taylor also, survived by several nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and great nephews.

A visitation service will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Kingswood United Methodist Church 5200 Perin Road Mobile, AL 36693 from 2 o’clock pm to 4 o’clock pm
