

Mrs. Frances Hardy Henry "went into the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ" on Friday, December 12, 2014. She was a life time resident of Mobile, AL, and she had numerous friends and acquaintances. She graduated from Bob Jones University with a degree in secondary education and married Evangelist Patrick Henry of Mobile, AL. They had one son, Patrick Adair. Her greatest and most enjoyable accomplishment in life was being a mother. She was always a source of support and encouragement to her loving and devoted son, Patrick. Mrs. Frances Henry taught middle school English for thirty-eight years and retired in 1994 and enjoyed a wonderful life. She was adored by her students, some of whom still remain in touch. Mrs. Henry was a professing Christian. She accepted Jesus Christ as he Lord and savior at age fifteen. She was a member in good standing at Dauphin Way Baptist Church for forty years. While there, she was a member of the Auditorium Bible Class under the leadership of Dr. Jaroy Weber, Dr. Jerry Vines, and Dr. Darrel Robinson. She also attended Campus Church in Pensacola, FL because of its solid biblical teachings. Her pastor and friend there was Dr. Jim Schettler and Sunday School Teacher, Mike Smith. She thoroughly enjoyed her retirement years spending time eating out, traveling, going to the beach, and spending Christmastime with relatives. She was an avid fan of "Wheel of Fortune" and the "Hallmark Movie Channel". She is survived by her only son, Patrick Adair Henry (Mobile, AL); only living brother, Mr. Adair Hardy (Memphis, TN); sister-in-law, Mrs. Anne Hardy (Baton Rouge, LA); and many adoring nieces and nephews. Mrs. Frances Henry will be greatly missed by her son and family until they are reunited at heaven's gates in glory. Her son explained "My Loss and sadness will be heavens gain and joy". She is with Jesus, my daddy, and all their relatives. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Pine Crest Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at 12 noon. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
