Frank Tio went to his heavenly home on March 14, 2020. Frank was born in Mobile, AL, September 6,1922, and will be forever cherished as a Navy veteran serving his country honorably in WW II. Frank was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and after retiring from the U.S. Postal Service, Frank spent much of his time practicing his horticultural and carpenter skills at his home where his scuppernongs and figs were anticipated every year by neighbors and family.
Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Tio, and their son, Milton. Frank is survived by his cherished sister, Mary Cassino, and many nephews, nieces and faithful friends. Frank’s closest companion during recent years, however, was the ever present but secretive “Kitty”, Frank’s feline best buddy. Graveside services and interment will be held on Friday, March 19, 2020, at 10 a.m. in Catholic Cemetery.
