Geraldine P. Simodel

Mrs. Geraldine P. Simodel – a 78 year-old native and lifelong resident of Dauphin Island, born April 1, 1934, passed away at a local hospital surrounded by loved ones on April 29, 2012. She retired from the Mobile Water Service after 32 years of service. Mrs. Simodel was preceded in death by her parents, William “Bill” Patronas and Amelia Patronas; three brothers, Peter “Pete”, Demetrius “Dem”, and William “Billy” Patronas; and two grandsons, Johnathon L. Ishee and Woodrow “Chris” Steiner. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Frank E. Simodel; two sons, Carl E. Ishee and Glenn D. Simodel; daughter, Machelle F. Steiner (Woody) all of Dauphin Island; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held from Dauphin Island Methodist Church on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 12 noon. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in the Dauphin Island Community Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Kenny Burrell, Aaron Burrell, Justin Ishee, Mathew Steiner, Mac McLemore, and Peter McLemore.
