Mrs. Geri Hare passed away on October 1, 2022. She was 86 years old. She was born to William Henry Christopher and Mary Emma Brannon Christopher on October 15, 1935, and a loving wife to Clayton Lamar (C.L.) Hare for 62 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, C.L. Hare and a brother, Teddy Vann Hare Christopher (Jean). She is survived by her loving children, Pamela Renae Hare Perry (Roy) and Clayton Lamar Hare, Jr. (Shayne); three grandchildren, Casey Clayton Hare, Mia Renae Perry (Jonathan) and Scott Bradley Hare; two great grandchildren, Charlotte Renae McCoy and Nathan Floyd McCoy. She is also survived by one brother, Thomas Henry Christopher (Nelda); four sisters-in-law, Eula Hare Dunn, Maxine Hare Fulford (Jimmy) and Joy Jean Hare Abbott; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hare grew up in Semmes, Alabama and graduated from Semmes High School, active in cheerleading and drama club. She was a fulltime mother to Pan and Clay, and was also active in the community as a PTA president, Little League Ladies Auxiliary President, Vacation Bible School Volunteer, Shaw High School Booster Club, and a Choir member a Westlawn Baptist Church.
After her children were grown, Mrs. Hare went to college and received an Associates degree from Bishop State Community College, graduating 1st in her class. She went on to work as a teacher’s assistant for the Mobile County Public School System for 12 years. She was also a resident ambassador at Atria Assisted Living for seven years.
Mrs. Hare Loved the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Atlanta Braves and never missed a game. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Chruch, and her family was overwhelmed by their visitations, prayers and compassion during her recent illness. We would also like to thank Covenant Care Hospice at Providence Hospital for their care of our mama during her illness.

Funeral arrangements are by Radney Funeral Home and burial will take place at Pine Crest Cemetery with a graveside service on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 2 p.m.
