Gloria Davis, 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7, 2020 in Mobile, Alabama. Gloria was born to Fletcher Tolbert and Pearl Robinson on November 11, 1935 in Atmore, Alabama. Gloria was a strong, independent woman who was driven by her ethics, respect for others, and her ability to put in a hard day’s work. She was the Owner/Proprietor of Frame Shop and Gallery from 1974 – 2012. Gloria was dedicated to her love for the Lord, and her family. She enjoyed being involved in church activities and spending time with her church family. She retired as the Treasurer at Kingswood United Methodist Church in 2018. Gloria loved flowers, and her puppies, Gus and Precious. She was a family woman – loving her children, grandchildren and family above all else. Gloria was a wonderful woman and will be greatly missed.
Gloria was preceded in death by her first husband, O’Neal Lambert; son, Randall O’Neal Lambert; second husband, Gerald Davis; mother, Pearl Robinson; brothers, Barney Tolbert and Ronnie Tolbert; and sister, Marie Lambert.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Pennington; son, Kenneth (Joyce) Lambert, sister, Barbara (Judge) Lloyd, grandchildren; Gregory Pennington, Jennifer Pennington Watson, Randall Pennington, Jonathan Lambert, and Kasey (Preston) Lambert Talbot; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Miranda, Gavin, Abigail, Colton, Bradley, and Mason Dale on the way; one brother, Buddy (Edna) Tolbert; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other cherished family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, Alabama, with a chapel service immediately following. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
