

Harold was born October 1, 1928, to William and Lillian Lockler. He graduated from Murphy High School while playing clarinet and saxophone in the dance bands during the late 40’s and 50’s. After high school, he served in the Army during the Korean War in Nuremberg, Germany. He was a faithful employee to International Paper as a graphic artist, serving for 25+ years until his retirement. He set a tremendous example of faith, love and strength of character, and was a source of inspiration to all who knew him. He had a very witty sense of humor that will be missed. Harold met the love of his life, Joan Stewart and they shared 50 wonderful years of marriage until Joan passed away.
Harold is survived by his loving children; son, Daniel Stewart Lockler (Cindy), daughter, Shane Cole (Steve), grandchildren; Paul Daniel Lockler (Nina), Stephen Christopher Lockler, Michael Aaron Lockler, Rachel Elizabeth Lockler, Michele Elizabeth Chambers (Shawn), and William Jason Cole, great-grandchildren; Lillian Vida Lockler, Evelyn Vera Lockler, Vivian Ava Lockler, Khloe Elizabeth Chambers, and many other family and friends that will miss him deeply.
Harold was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Joan Stewart Lockler, parents; William and Lillian Lockler, brothers; James Lockler and Gerald Lockler.
Graveside services for Harold will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025 at 11am at Pine Crest Cemetery Mausoleum in Mobile, AL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to The Mobile Museum of Art in Harold's memory.
