Harold Small Winger, A native of Grant County, Indiana born August 13. 1918 and a resident of Mobile, Alabama , passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2019 in Mobile, Alabama. He was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church and Rotary International. He was a World War II veteran having served in the Naval Construction Battalion (Seabees). He graduated from Purdue University with a forestry degree and worked 37 years for International Paper Company in the Woodlands Division. During his years with the company he lived in Texas, Arkansas, South Carolina, Florida, Connecticut and Alabama. He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Jensen Winger and Constance Haynie Winger and his parents, Lewis and Gladys Winger; granddaughter, Jennifer Anne Hendrix and a brother, Wayne D. Winger and a stepdaughter, Rebecca Hoffman. He is survived by his daughter, Adrian W. Mueller of Mobile; a son, Lewis T. (Wendy) Winger of Vero Beach, FL; four grandchildren, Hannah Hendrix (Randy) Klingelheber, Paul (Ashley) Hendrix, Heather (Steve) Nesbitt and Tyler (Kendal) Winger; nine great grandchildren, stepson William (Judy) Jensen of South Carolina; sisters, Helen Anne Garber and Evelyn (Jay) Shaw, also survived by other relatives. The family would like to thank, Christine Harris, Patricia Harrison, Claudia Cobb, Annette Perkins and Louvenia Payton for the loving care. Private Graveside Service will be held on Friday, June 21, 2019 at Pine Crest Cemetery, Mobile, AL.
