Mr. Herman Nelson McMillan – a native of Millry, AL and a lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, died Tuesday, February 28, 2012 in a local hospital. Mr. McMillan was a devoted member of Cottage Hill Baptist Church. He retired from ALCOA Aluminum after 40 years of service where he was awarded the Million Hours Safety Award. He enjoyed shrimping, fishing, and deer hunting. Mr. McMillan is survived by his wife, Sallie McMillan; two daughters, Angeli McMillan and Tisa (Bill) Smith; four grandchildren, Pier McMillan, Taylor Smith, Caleb King, and Kaylee King; one brother, Larry McMillan. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, March 3, 2012 from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 2 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
