SFC Jack E. Storer, USA Ret. – age 72, born in Dayton, Ohio, raised in Morrisville, Ohio, and a resident of Theodore, Alabama passed away at his home on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. Mr. Storer retired from the United States Army/ National Guard as a Sergeant First Class after 33 years of service. During his career, he served in the Vietnam War and first Gulf War earning a purple heart and bronze star. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and brother.
Mr. Storer was preceded in death by his parents, Edward E. Storer and Frances A. Storer; brother, Edward “Eddie” Storer; son, Lee Storer; and great-grandson, Levi Daniel Fortner. He is survived by his daughters, Wendy Carty and Linda Walker; sister, Cheryl Allen (Robert); brother, Stephen Storer (Jerri); ex-wife, Susie Dees; 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Friday, December 22, 2023, from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service. Interment will follow in Dawes Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.radneyfuneralhome-mobile.com
