Mr. James Roy Galloway Jr., a resident of Semmes, AL, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2013. Mr. Galloway is preceded in death by his parents, James R. and Pearl Galloway and sister, Gloria Anderson. He retired as a supervisor from Holcim after 31 years. He was an avid sportsman and loved his Alabama Crimson Tide. “Big Jim” will be remembered for his art of storytelling and his way of embracing everyone he met. He truly never met a stranger. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and faithful friend. Mr. Galloway is survived by his wife, Joyce Havard Galloway; children, Tammy Davidson (Donald), James R. Galloway, III (Crystal); three grandchildren, Jacob, Seth, Eli, other family members and a host of many other brothers and sisters from God’s Forever Family. Visitation will be held at the Azalea City Church of Christ, Semmes, AL, on Saturday, December 21, 2013, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Woodard Cemetery, Lucedale MS.
