Mr. James Wesley “J.W.” Maples, age 88, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Goldie Maples, sisters, Leona Allen, Laura Horton, Eugenia Wilson and son-in-law, Bruce Fausak. Mr. Maples served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked in the construction business for many years in the Mobile and southeastern United States. J.W. was a family man who loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Mildred Pierce Maples, and daughters, Debbie Maples Smith and Kimberly Maples Fausak. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Jonathan Hughes (Kristy), Jocelyn Ely (Rick), Leah Fausak Parker (Park), Kendall Fausak (Travis Daniels) and great-grandchildren; Jonathan and Breanna Hughes, Blake Bowman and Ellie Grace Parker, brother-in-law, Ronnie Pierce, many nieces, nephews and other family. Visitation will be held at Trinity Baptist Church in Tanner Williams on Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 3:00 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church.
