Jim is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sara Morris; his step-son and his wife Donald Kenneth Bryant (Karen); and his son-in-law Fredrick Rittelmeyer; his grandchildren Amber Danielle Bryant, Jason O'Donnell Bryant and Donald Clay Bryant and numerous great grandchildren.
Jim served with the United States Coast Guard, through which he attended electronics school - leading him to a career with IBM for 31 years. He liked to hunt and watch baseball, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. Jim had a passion for woodworking, taking those talents on the road to help with the Mobile Baptist Builders association. Jim and Sara attended church at Orchid Baptist Church and more recently Snow Road Missionary Baptist Church.
A visitation for Jim will be held Friday, September 9, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Snow Road Missionary Baptist Church, 809 Snow Rd., Mobile, AL 36608 and funerals service beginning at 11:00 AM. A committal service will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery West.
