Feb. 26, 1925 - Jan.. 4, 2015 Mr. Jess R. Herring a native of Cottondale, Al and a resident of Mobile, Al died on Sunday January 4, 2015 at his residence. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in the European Theatre during World War II. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Mary C. Herring, two children Colette Herring (Stoney) Compton, and Charles R. (Karen) Herring, two grandchildren Kari and Jessica Herring, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the graveside on Sunday January 11, 2015 at 2PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday January 10, 2015 from 4 until 7PM. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. Flowerers will be accepted at the funeral home or donations may be made to the Meditation Center of Alabama, 3821 Airport Blvd, Mobile, AL 36608 Arrangements under the direction of Pine Crest Funeral Home, Mobile, AL.
