Joan Wilson Horst, age 84, native of Hazlehurst, MS and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2014. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Dudley Wilson and Susan Covington Wilson and grandsons, Daniel Wilson Horst and Joseph Edward Hearn. She was a member of the Mobile Junior League and a Mystic Society for many years. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and loved spending time with her family. She was a former member of First Baptist Church of Hazlehurst, MS. Mrs. Horst is survived by her former husband, Thomas Armstrong Horst, Jr., children, Joan Horst Hamilton (Neil), Thomas Armstrong Horst, III and Charles Wilson Horst (Kateri). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Christopher Andrew Horst (Becky), Margaret Manning Horst, Michael Covington Horst and Christopher Covington Horst.
