JoAnn Rae Samuelson was born in Montana on January 18, 1956 to parents Dewey and Beverly Samuelson, sister to Bob Samuelson. She raised three children she shared with Perry Clark; Andrea, Rebecca and Eric with such love and devotion in her longtime home of Mobile, Alabama.
As a Drafter with an engineering company JoAnn worked for just over 30 years for the David Volkert Company to design and help construct some of the biggest bridge and structural projects our generation has ever seen. She was a leader in any department she helped with, and always could be counted on.
At home, JoAnn enjoyed being not only a Mother, but also Grandmother to two generations of children. She was able to spend every day watching her granddaughters Aeryka and Savina grow and it would fill her with such happiness. JoAnn was an avid collector of copper trinkets, cookware and bakeware. Cooking and baking was also a love in the Clark household and JoAnn was no stranger. She was able to pass that love down to all of her children and granddaughters.
Her life and legacy will on vicariously through her three children, their spouses and her granddaughters: Andrea (Mike) Hewett, Rebecca Clark (Aeryka and Savina Place) and Eric (Tiara) Clark.
We are celebrating the life and memory of JoAnn Rae Clark. This is not goodbye, but until we meet again.
A Celebration of Life is planned for January in honor of her birthday.
